Albert Stagg died from wounds on 18th August, 1915, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 8th Middlesex battalion arrived in France in March, 1915 where they joined 85 Brigade of 28th Division. In April and May of that year they were involved in heavy fighting around Ypres during the Battles of St Julien (24th April-4th May), the Battle of Frezenberg Ridge (8-13th May) and the Battle of Bellewaarde Ridge (24-25th May) |
